Ryan Hennessy and Jimmy Rainsford talk about the songs that shaped their sound

Irish pop duo Picture This released their self-titled debut LP back in August, and it immediately rose to number one on the Irish Albums Chart. Featuring of Jimmy Rainsford on drums and Ryan Hennessy on guitar and vocals, the group makes the kind of pop tunes that will make anyone swoon.

The duo originated from Athy, County Kildare, where Ryan and Jimmy grew up as childhood friends. And it’s that kind of togetherness that has allowed the twosome to chart eight Top 100 singles in their native Ireland in just about two years.

ARTISTdirect caught up with Ryan and Jimmy to learn about the music that shaped their sound, what songs they first learned to play, and the tracks they are most proud of.
