Izzy Bizu Shares “A Moment Of Madness”

British singer-songwriter shares the songs that shaped her musical identity

Izzy Bizu Interview

At only 22 years old, Izzy Bizu has already managed to capture the attention of her native United Kingdom. Last year, she dropped her debut album, A Moment of Madness, and became a British Critics Choice finalist, as well as BBC’s Introducing Artist of the Year.

The English singer-songwriter was raised in South West London, and grew up on a heavy dose of Ella Fitzgerald, Bettye Swann, Betty Wright, and James Brown. It’s those influence that form her modern pop, filling it with soul.

Like many British artists, Bizu has now set her sights on North America and is currently touring the continent. ARTISTdirect caught up with singer-songwriter to find out about the songs that shaped her sound and learn about the songs she is most proud of.
